Kearing at Texprocess 2026

Texprocess 2026: A Different Perspective on Textile Tools

From April 21–24, 2026, Texprocess took place in Frankfurt alongside Techtextil 2026, bringing together a wide range of textile-related technologies and materials.

While much of the exhibition focuses on large-scale systems and advanced technologies, there is also a quieter but equally important layer—the tools that support hands-on making.

For Kearing, this is where we naturally belong.

At Hall 8.0 · Stand F53

Across the four days, many visitors stopped not just to look—but to try.

They picked up tools, tested markings, checked alignment, and compared small differences that only become clear in use.

This kind of interaction matters.

Because for tools like ours, understanding doesn’t come from description—it comes from how they feel in the hand, and how they behave on fabric.

Product Highlights at Texprocess 2026

At Texprocess 2026, we presented several updated tools shaped by ongoing refinement:

Pinking Shears
Designed for smooth, consistent zigzag cutting, with improved stability that becomes noticeable over longer use.

Iron Cleaner
A simple addition to daily workflow—helping maintain a clean soleplate without interrupting the rhythm of work.

Expanding Sewing Gauge
Allows for evenly spaced marking in repetitive tasks like buttonholes or pleats, reducing the need for constant re-measuring.

Self-Healing Cutting Mats
Built for repeated use, offering a reliable surface that supports both precision cutting and pattern work.

Across all products, the focus remains the same:
small improvements that make everyday making more comfortable and consistent.

What Stood Out at the Show

Throughout the exhibition, we connected with a wide range of visitors—from quilting enthusiasts and independent makers to retailers and distributors.

Many were looking for tools that are not only precise, but also intuitive and reliable in daily use. These conversations gave us a clearer understanding of how small tool details can directly influence the making experience.

A few impressions became clear over the course of the exhibition:

Detail is what people notice
Visitors often focused on subtle differences—edge smoothness, marking clarity, grip, and balance.

Simplicity is valued
Tools that are easy to understand and immediately usable attracted more attention than complex solutions.

Experience over explanation
Given the choice, people prefer to test rather than be told.

Beyond the Exhibition

Outside the exhibition halls, Frankfurt offers a similar contrast—structured yet expressive, modern yet detailed.

In some ways, it reflects the same balance we see in making:
between precision and creativity, between function and form.

The conversations that started during the show continue in a quieter way—through follow-ups, shared ideas, and ongoing exchange.

A Continuous Approach

For us, exhibitions are not just about presenting new products.

They are moments to observe how people work, what they pay attention to, and where small adjustments can make a difference.

That is how our tools evolve—
not through big changes, but through continuous refinement shaped by real use.

Events like Texprocess are also a reminder that even in a highly automated industry, manual tools remain essential. They connect design intention with material execution in a direct and tactile way.
